There’s nothing like earning cash and gift cards for doing simple tasks. Read on to discover how you can earn rewards with Swagbucks in your spare time!
Swagbucks is a rewards site where users can earn “Swagbucks” (or SB) towards gift cards or Paypal and Visa cash. Currently, they have paid their members over $188 million in rewards.
Users earn rewards with Swagbucks by completing surveys, shopping, and watching videos, along with many other activities. If you’re already shopping, searching, or watching videos online, why not get paid for it?
How Does It Work?
Users can earn Swagbucks through multiple channels, including shopping and searching, watching videos, and completing offers.
Once users earn a certain amount of Swagbucks, they will be able to redeem for a gift card or cash in the Swagbucks Redeem Store.
First, head over to the Swagbucks site. Their homepage will look like this:
Sign up with email or Facebook, or if you already have an account, you can login in the top right. Once you sign up, you should get a confirmation email. Confirming your email will allow you to earn rewards with Swagbucks.
Once your email is confirmed and you have logged in, your dashboard will look similar to this:
It may look a bit overwhelming, so keep reading this guide to get a rundown on each way to earn rewards with Swagbucks.
Earn Rewards With Swagbucks
To make the whole process easier, Swagbucks does have an interactive tutorial which should start when you login. You can also find the quick tour of Swagbucks if you scroll all the way down to the “Quick Links” section on the left-hand side.
If you just want to dive straight into earning Swagbucks, then let’s take a look at the “Earn your SB” section on the top left of your dashboard.
This is your dashboard. You can go back here to see the featured and most popular ways to earn Swagbucks. On the bottom left, under your “To-Do List“, you will find 8 daily activities that will allow you to earn bonus Swagbucks if you complete them all!
The shop is where you can earn Swagbucks for shopping at your favorite retailers. Swagbucks has over 1,000 retailers where you can get cash back along with coupons, deals, and discounts.
You can earn up to 20% cash back for shopping online. Watch out for double and triple the amount of Swagbucks at certain retailers during holidays.
In the Watch section, you can earn Swagbucks for watching videos on various topics, such as comedy skits, cooking shows, or viral Youtube videos.
Paired with the mobile app for Android (sorry Apple users, Swagbucks currently isn’t available for iOS), users can earn up to $5 a day by just letting the videos play on their mobile devices or on desktop.
The Answer section allows you to earn rewards with Swagbucks in a short amount of time. By just sharing your opinions, you can earn between 40-300 Swagbucks for each completed survey, depending on its length. You will also get 1 Swagbuck if you are disqualified from the survey, up to 5 per day.
You can also answer quick profile questions, which will allow Swagbucks to better match you with surveys that you will most likely be able to complete.
This section has the fastest earning potential. You can explore a huge collection of offers, sign ups, and shopping activities that will net you a lot of Swagbucks.
You will earn a lot more if you have a credit card to put in for the offers. Just make sure you write down when each offer needs to be cancelled so you won’t get billed the full amount of the offer.
I also recommend setting up a new email address, as the offers and sign ups will send a good bit of spam and you don’t want that cluttering up your email account.
By using the Swagbucks search function, you can earn rewards with Swagbucks by just searching like you normally would!
You can even make your homepage in your browser the Swagbucks homepage so that all of your searches will be with Swagbucks, increasing your earning potential.
Finally, you can also earn rewards with Swagbucks by just playing games! Certain high scores in these games will get you more Swagbucks.
There’s even more ways to earn Swagbucks by entering contests! You can find the contest by scrolling down underneath the “Earn” section I discussed above.
The first contest you can enter is called “Swago“. This is a lot like Bingo, where you are given a board and each box on the board corresponds to a Swagbucks activity. These activities can be anything from visiting places that support Swagbucks to downloading apps.
By getting one of the patterns shown, you can trade in your board for bonus Swagbucks!
Swagbucks also allows you to enter sweepstakes. These range from winning Swagbucks to the new Apple Watch. While these are great if you win, your chances of getting that elusive prize go down as more and more people enter.
Swagbucks also has one more way to earn. With Swagbucks Local, you can earn Swagbucks by just eating or shopping at your favorite places.
Are you rolling in Swagbucks yet? Even if you’re not, Swagbucks has a pretty extensive rewards store that you can explore.
You can redeem most of the rewards once you reach 300 Swagbucks. Generally, 100 SB = $1.00 (depending on your currency).
Rewards include Visa and Paypal cash, Amazon and Steam gift cards, and donations to a good cause. There’s no limit on how much you can redeem, but they do hold sales on some of the rewards, such as offering a $25 gift card for 2200 Swagbucks.
Whew! That’s a lot of information all in one read! Just want to get a quick rundown on everything Swagbucks? Read these top tips to get you started!
- Redeem for gift cards to places where you actually shop so you save money on your purchases. Or, just redeem for Paypal cash and put that money back in your bank.
- Leave videos playing in the background on your mobile device or desktop while you do other things. This is a great way to earn passive Swagbucks.
- Download the Swagbucks Android app to earn on the go.
- Check the Swagbucks Facebook page and Swagbucks blog to find Swagcodes which will give you bonus Swagbucks and can be entered here:
- Complete those surveys! The surveys will reward you for a little bit of your time and often lead to more survey opportunities in the future. Also, if you don’t qualify for a survey, you can still get Swagbucks from trying them.
- Complete your daily to-do list everyday for large bonuses and extra Swagbucks at the end of the month
- Make your default search engine to Swagbucks (powered by Yahoo) to earn Swagbucks for doing searches online
Swagbucks truly is the all-in-one rewards site. You can earn rewards through playing games, watching videos, searching and shopping online, and many other activities.
It can also be very addicting, but don’t spend your whole day on Swagbucks! An hour or two a day will ensure you make a pretty hefty bundle. Also, if you’re just doing homework or watching TV, leaving the videos to run in the background is a great way to rack up the Swagbucks.
